News - February 2021
A week after getting a Silver Medal at the National Road Time Trial Event, Prudence followed this up with 2 Gold Medals at the U19 National Track Championships, defending her Points Race title for the 3rd year running as well as successfully defending her Team Sprint Title.

After winning a Gold Team Pursuit Medal at the Oceania Track Cycling Championships, Prudence followed this up with 2 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals at the U19 National Track Championships in January this year.  Prudence's amazing Track Season was good enough to secure her selection to the Junior World Track Championships in Cairo, Egypt (16-21 August) proudly representing New Zealand - read more...  


News - October 2019

With the National Schools Championships in Palmerston North wrapping up the 2019 Cycling Season, Prudence finished the Season consistently and with an amazing show of 11 medals at a National Level and her highest amount of Individual Golds (7) to date.

  • 7 National Cycling Titles (6 Road, 1 Track)
  • 2 National Silver Medals (1 Road, 1 Track)
  • 2 National Bronze Medal (2 Track - 2 Team)

Prudence a few days later cemented her place as one of the top young cycling talents as she claimed back-to-back double gold medals in the under 17 girls in the Time Trial and Road Race to claim the Road Treble alongside the Criterium she won earlier in the season, a truly remarkable performance. Prudence came way with four medals (Gold, Silver and 2 Bronze) at the 2019 National Track Championships in Cambridge.  A sterling effort considering she was knocked down by a car only a few days before the event and rode with a fractured finger and some bruised legs.

The 2019 Cycling season kicked off with the National Age Group Criterium Cycling Championships in Takapuna Auckland.  Prudence dominated the race and with one lap to go made a break and won by 6 seconds over the rest of the field, taking her tally of National Titles to 18 and still only 15 years old.  Great start to the season.

 

News - October 2018

With the National Schools Championships in Christchurch wrapping up the 2018 Cycling Season, Prudence finished the Season consistently and with an amazing show of 12 medals at a National Level

  • 8 National Cycling Titles (5 Road, 3 Track - 2 Team)
  • 3 National Silver Medals (3 Road)
  • 1 National Bronze Medal (1 Track - 1 Team)
  • National ITT Record (becoming the fastest NZ U17 EVER over 4km by 5 seconds as an U16)
News - September 2018
At the Southern Tour Prudence defended her National Schools Criterium Title.
 
She also won the Individual Time Trial once again recording the fastest time across all age groups including the U20 Girls.
 
She also won the Hill Climb and Road Race earning herself the Yellow (CG), Green (Sprint Ace) and Polka Dot (Queen of the Mountain) Jerseys repeating her identical performance of last year.
 
At the Northern Tour Prudence defended her National Schools Individual Time Trial, breaking the course record for her age group for the third year running and becoming the fastest school girl in New Zealand in history over the 4km course.
 
She also won the Criterium earning herself the Yellow (CG), Green (Sprint Ace) Jerseys repeating her identical performance of last year.
News - July 2018
Prudence show's her dominance at the North Island Secondary School Cycling Championships, with four 1st place finishes and two second place finishes across both track and road.

News - April 2018
15 Year old Prudence takes a clean sweep of Under 17 Road Titles (15km Individual Time Trial by 42 seconds and 66km Road Race) at National Age Group Road Championships to claim a treble of Individual National Age Group Titles this year after last month winning the Under 17 2K Individual Pursuit at National Age Group Track Championships. 

For a 1st Year Under 17, this is an incredible achievement.

In her first National Track Championship as 1st Year U17 (as she's U16) Prudence won the 2000m Individual Pursuit convincingly in a time of 2:33.395 representing Waikato/Bay of Plenty
 
Prudence then went on to get two more Gold Medals with a 1st Place in Team Pursuit and Madison (and a Bronze in Team Sprint)
News - 11th September 2017
Prudence defends her National Individual Time Trial Title breaking yet another course record and wins the National Criterium Title as well as a series of other wins at the Southern and Northern Tours.

Prudence defends her North Island Schools Road Championships Road and Criterium Titles at taking home 4 gold medals in the 26.6km Road Race, Road Criterium, Track Points Race & Track Scratch Race.

1st place National Cycling Club Championships 16k Individual Time Trial (won by 1min 8secs) and 2nd in the National Cycling Club 37km Road Race

2nd place in the Girls U15 Coxed Four - North Island Secondary Schools - A Final at Lake Karapiro

News - 1st February 2017
Great start the season, Prudence rows in the Cambridge Town Cup Rowing Regatta and takes first place in the Girls U15 Coxed Four A Final at Lake Karapiro and then days later takes Gold at the Auckland Track Cycling Championships (Points Race)
 
News - 4th September 2016
Prudence the sole representative of Mt Albert Grammar School attended the National Schools Individual Road Championships at Mt Wellington once again dominating her age group and claiming the title of National Individual U14 Champion and broke the ITT Course record by 8.5 seconds.

Her results were as follows:-

  • 1st General Classification
  • 1st Road Criterium (won 3 out of 4 sprint laps)
  • 1st Individual Time Trial (Course Record)
  • 2nd Hill Climb 

News - 11th July 2016

Prudence the sole representative of Mt Albert Grammar School attended the North Island Schools Road and Track Championships at Lake Karapiro and Cambridge Velodrome dominating her age group and taking gold in all the races she competed in. 

Her results were as follows:-

  • 1st 26.6km Road Race (won by over 1.5mins after breaking at the half way point and cycling the remainder of the way home by herself)
  • 1st Road Criterium (won all sprint laps)
  • 1st Track Derby
  • 1st Track Elimination
  • 1st Track Points Race (won all sprint laps)
  • 1st Track Scratch Race

Prudence takes Bronze Medal at New Zealand Secondary Schools Open Water Swimming Championships and 5th place in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Aquathon Championships.
 
News - 7th March 2016
Prudence takes Bronze Medal at New Zealand Secondary Schools Individual Triathlon Championships racing in her first triathlon event as an individual.
